Start a Course Import

In order to a new course import run, you must have the following:

Permission to Create Course Imports & View Integrations
An active LMS integration (to Canvas or Brightspace)

Select + New Import

On the Course Imports page, select + New Import

Select Source Integration

On the New Import page, select the source integration to import courses from.

Select the Method

From the Methods dropdown, select how you would like to import courses.

Confirm Selection

Review and confirm the source, method and scope of the import run you have selected.

Select Start Import

Select Start Import. The import run will begin and you will be redirect to the import run details. After launch, follow Monitor imports.

Automatic Course Import

Search the list, select one or more rows, and continue. Use Refresh when the source contains a recently added period that does not appear yet.

Upload a CSV file containing course identifiers. Wait for CSV ready and review the detected identifier count.

Search by name, code, LMS or SIS ID, then select courses from the results.

Enter the cutoff date. K16 selects courses ending before that boundary according to the source integration.

The Automatic Import feature allows you to schedule when courses should be imported by, after the course has ended. Each month on the 15th, the scheduler will run and check for any courses that meet the requirements defined in the schedule. Once a course has met the requirements, the courses will be automatically imported into your archiving instance.The Automatic Import feature can be enabled within the Integration that you will use to import courses.

In order to import specific course sections of a course only, you must use the CSV upload import method and provide the LMS Section ID or the SIS Section ID. Entering the LMS Course ID will import all sections in that course.
