Open Settings > Integrations, then select New integration.
1

Choose the integration type

Under Integration type, select LMS, CRM, or SIS. Then select the provider and choose Continue to identity.
2

Set the identity

Enter a Friendly name that distinguishes the environment and purpose. For an LMS, choose Source to pull data or Destination to push data. Select Continue to connection.
3

Enter connection settings

Complete every field marked with an asterisk. K16 checks required fields and URL syntax before it contacts the provider.
4

Validate

Select Validate & continue. Correct any field-level issues and run validation again.
5

Review and create

Review the provider, friendly name, data direction, and validation result. Select Create integration.
The Setup progress card tracks Type, Identity, Connection, and Validation while you work.

Understand validation results

Live credential validation is currently available for Canvas and Moodle in the creation wizard. Other providers can show Live validation unavailable.
A successful preflight does not guarantee that every import or sync operation has the provider-side permissions it needs. Monitor the integration after creation.

Protect connection data

  • Use a dedicated provider account approved by your security team.
  • Give the account only the scope required for the intended workflow.
  • Do not reuse a personal administrator account.
  • Do not include protected values in screenshots or copied diagnostics.
  • Rotate a protected value from the Config tab only through your approved process.
Continue with Status and lifecycle after creation.
