Open a course and select Gradebook. K16 displays a student-by-column grade matrix.

Work with the gradebook

Use the gradebook controls to focus the matrix:
  • select students
  • select statuses
  • select grade columns
  • hide columns you do not need
  • move through student rows with pagination
Select a grade entry to review its recorded score, status, attempts, response details, and available submission files.
Start with one student and a small set of grade columns. This makes it easier to verify the record before you expand the matrix or export data.

Export archived records

Select Export Gradebook Data, then choose the artifact that matches your task.
Raw data exports one row per grade entry:
  • CSV
  • TSV
  • JSON
Grade table exports the student-by-column matrix:
  • CSV
  • XLSX
  • PDF
The export covers the course records available to your account. Student, status, and column filters in the gradebook control the on-screen matrix; they are not passed to these export actions. Verify the downloaded file’s scope before sharing it. Exports open as downloads. Keep the page open until your browser begins the download.

Choose the right format

Gradebook, discussion, and submission exports can contain protected student information. Store and share exports only in approved systems.

Troubleshoot an export

Allow downloads and new tabs for your K16 site, then try again. If your session expired, sign in and reopen the course.
Open the grade entry and confirm that the archived attempt lists the file. K16 can export only files present in the archive.
Confirm that the expected record exists in the archive and is available to your account. Compare the entry detail with the exported row; changing the visible table filters does not change export scope.
