DataX analytics turns governed catalog data into queries and reusable views. Start with a worksheet when you are exploring. Move stable work into a blueprint, dashboard, or reporting workbook when other people need it.
Each analytics area is enabled separately for your workspace. Your role and entity access continue to apply to every query and visualization.

Worksheets

Write and run SQL, browse the catalog schema, inspect results, and save personal or shared work. Use worksheets.

Dashboards

Arrange live query widgets into a reusable analytics view. Build dashboards and reports.

Reporting

Open embedded reporting workbooks and organize them in folders when your workspace includes reporting access. Use reporting.

Assistant

Ask questions using catalog metadata, glossary context, and Snowflake data. Use the assistant.

Pick the right workflow

1

Confirm the source

Review the entity in the Catalog. Check its description, grain, status, columns, and query access.
2

Test a narrow query

Select a small set of columns and add a restrictive filter. Confirm row shape before expanding the query.
3

Inspect the result

Check nulls, duplicate keys, row counts, and unexpected categories in Results and Inspector.
4

Make the work reusable

Save the worksheet, create a governed blueprint, or add a validated query to a dashboard.
5

Recheck access

Confirm that the intended audience can query every entity used by the asset.
A successful query proves that the SQL ran. It does not prove that the measure is correct. Use glossary definitions and source documentation to validate meaning.
