Before you begin, confirm that your workspace includes Documents and your role has Access documents. These folders are separate from the files inside an archived course.

Find a folder and file

  1. Under Archive, select Documents.
  2. Enter a folder name in Search folders…. Use Status… to choose All statuses, Empty Folder, or Not empty.
  3. Compare Folder Name and Description, then open the folder.
  4. Use Search files… and Type… to narrow the files. Type choices include Any, Image, Video, Document, and PDF.
  5. Switch between table and grid views if needed. Open a file to review its preview.
  6. Confirm the file name and metadata before selecting Download. Verify that the downloaded file opens in an approved application.

Missing files or previews

Clear the folder status and file-type filters before concluding that a record is absent. Refresh the listing when the archive has recently changed. A file can have a download even when its type cannot be previewed. If a download fails, record the workspace, folder, file name, time, and displayed error. Share identifiers through your approved support channel rather than attaching the document itself.
Archived documents can contain student and personnel records. Download only what you need and store it in an institution-approved location.
