# Feature availability

> Understand which K16 capabilities depend on your workspace, role, or connected systems.

K16 shows the product areas and actions available to your workspace. What you see can depend on connected systems, workspace configuration, and assigned role.

## Product areas

| Product area     | What you can do                                                                                              | What affects availability                                                  |

| Archive          | Search archived courses, review people and enrollments, monitor imports, restore courses, and export records | Archive configuration, configured LMS connections, and Archive permissions |
| DataX Worksheets | Query connected data, save SQL, organize worksheets, and export results                                      | DataX configuration, data access rules, and worksheet permissions          |
| DataX Reporting  | Open and, with management access, organize embedded reporting workbooks                                      | Reporting access and the data available to your role                       |
| DataX Catalog    | Explore tables, columns, relationships, glossary terms, and lineage                                          | Catalog access and metadata from connected systems                         |
| DataX Lakehouse  | Manage deployments, imports, snapshots, and granular data access                                             | Lakehouse access and the permissions assigned to your role                 |

## Why an action may be missing

An action can be unavailable when:

* Your role can view a resource but cannot manage it.
* Your institution has not enabled the related product or integration.
* A connected system is paused, offline, or requires attention.
* The resource is in a status that does not allow the action.
* Granular data access rules exclude the underlying data.

  Start with the page's action menu. K16 hides actions that are not available in the current
  context.

## Request access

Ask a K16 administrator at your institution to review your role and product access. Include the page you were viewing and the action you expected to use. If the administrator confirms your access and the feature is still missing, [contact K16 Support](/support).
