# Navigate K16

> Understand the K16 sidebar, workspace controls, account menu, and feature-based navigation.

The sidebar organizes K16 by capability. It adapts to your workspace and permissions, so another user may see a different set of destinations.

| Sidebar section | Common destinations                                              |
| --------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Core            | Home                                                             |
| Archive | Documents, Courses, People, SIS Accounts, Grants, Course Imports |
| Analytics | Worksheets, Reporting, AI Detection, Dashboards, Assistant |
| Documentation   | Catalog, Business Glossary                                       |
| Lakehouse | Deployments, Snapshots, Data Imports, Column Constraints |

Open your account menu and select **Settings** for administration. Under **Organization**, authorized users see **Users**, **Roles**, **Integrations**, **Data access**, **Security policies**, and **Single sign-on**. Under **Personal**, you can open **Profile**, **Notifications**, **Security**, and **Connections**.

Student navigation is limited to **Home** and **Courses**. Other accounts see the destinations permitted by their role and workspace configuration.

## Workspace and account controls

* Use the workspace name at the top of the sidebar to [switch workspaces](/getting-started/switch-workspaces).
* Use the notification bell to review recent product and workflow events.
* Open your account menu to access **Theme**, **Language**, **Feedback**, **Docs**, **Help**, **Settings**, and **Sign out**.
* Collapse the sidebar when you need more room. On mobile, open it from the dashboard header.

<Tip>
  Page URLs remain tied to the current workspace. Confirm the workspace before sharing a link with a
  colleague.
