# Accept an invitation

> Join a K16 workspace from an administrator invitation and finish your first sign-in.

An invitation connects your account to a specific workspace and initial role. Invitation links are account-specific.

  <Step title="Open the newest invitation">
    Use the most recent K16 invitation sent to your email address. Older links may no longer be
    valid after an administrator resends or cancels an invitation.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm your identity">
    Follow the account creation or sign-in prompt. Use the same email address that received the
    invitation unless your administrator changes it first.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Complete account protection">
    Set up MFA if K16 prompts you. Never send an MFA setup key or one-time code to another person.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review your access">
    Open the workspace and check the sidebar. Your role determines which product areas and
    administrative tools appear.

<Tip>
  For **Invitation expired** or **Invitation no longer valid**, ask an administrator for a new
  invitation. For **Account already exists** or **Invitation already accepted**, select **Sign in**.
