# Review enrollments, groups, and sections

> Inspect archived course membership, group sets, and course sections.

Archived membership appears in two areas:

* **Enrollments** contains users, faculty, and group sets.
* **Course Sections** contains source LMS sections and their members.

## Review enrollments

Open **Enrollments**, then use the **Users** tab.

You can:

* search by name, email, user ID, SIS user ID, or enrollment ID
* switch between **All users** and **Faculty**
* sort by available columns
* select **View Gradebook** for one enrollment

The enrollment detail shows the student's archived grade records and attempts for this course.

## Review group sets

Select the **Groups** tab on **Enrollments**.

    Search by group-set name or ID. Compare its group and member counts.

    Select its row to view archived groups and member enrollment links.

    Search by name, email, IDs, or group. Select a member row to open that enrollment's course
    detail.

## Review course sections

Select **Course Sections** in the course navigation. Search by section name, SIS section ID, or section ID.

The table shows:

* **Section ID**
* **Section**
* **SIS Section ID**
* **Enrollments**
* **Updated**

Select a section to view its archived enrollment membership. Search the section detail by name, email, user ID, SIS user ID, or enrollment ID.

## Understand the distinction

| Record         | What it represents                              |
| -------------- | ----------------------------------------------- |
| Enrollment     | A person's membership and role in the course    |
| Group set      | A collection of groups used for course activity |
| Group          | A subset of enrolled people within a group set  |
| Course section | An LMS-defined course roster segment            |
