# Manage security policies

> Set workspace password requirements and review authentication status.

Before you begin, confirm the workspace and that your role has **Manage** permission under **Security policies**. This page changes the workspace password policy; use [account security](/account/security) to change your own password.

1. Open your account menu and select **Settings**.
2. Under **Organization**, select **Security policies**.
3. Review **Password policy** and set **Minimum length** between 6 and 99 characters.
4. Choose the required **Uppercase letters**, **Lowercase letters**, **Numbers**, and **Symbols** rules according to your institution's policy.
5. Select **Save policy** and wait for **Password policy saved.**
6. Reopen the page and confirm the saved length and rules.

The toolbar also reports **MFA**, **Passkeys**, and the last synchronization time. These are status indicators; the form edits password requirements.

  Password requirements affect account creation and password changes. Coordinate policy changes with
  your identity team so users receive the correct requirements.
