# Manage your profile

> Update the name, email address, and profile picture used in your K16 workspace.

Your profile identifies you in the dashboard header, account menu, and administrator user lists.

  <Step title="Open Profile settings">
    Open your account menu, select **Settings**, then select **Profile**.

  <Step title="Edit your details">
    Select **Edit profile**. Update your full name, email address, or profile picture.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save and verify">
    Select **Save changes** and wait for the **Saved** confirmation. Confirm that the account menu
    shows the updated identity.

You can upload a PNG, JPG, WebP, or GIF up to 512 KB, or provide an image URL. K16 shows your initials when no custom image is set.

  Changing your email affects sign-in and notifications. Confirm that you can receive mail at the
  new address before saving it.

The **External identifier** is read-only and may be used to connect your K16 identity with the configured authentication provider.
